Dusty Feet
Random Kat fact: I can’t sleep when my feet feel dusty.
When I’ve worn sandals/flip flops all day, the first thing I do before shedding off my clothes is wash my piggies.
Now I can sleep. *yawn*
Gimme Gimme
The more I have/get/do, the more I want.
What’s that called again?
Greed? Addiction? Obsession?
FUN!
Au Revoir
Sometimes when two people go through rough patches it makes them stronger, their bond tighter and friendship deeper.
But other times it breaks them and things are never the same again.
I believe these are one of those times.
you struck the match, i didn’t blow out the flame and we both watched it burn.
80/20 Rule
Also known as the Pareto principle, the law of the vital few. It states that, for many events, roughly 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes.
Now, if you’ve watched Tyler Perry’s “Why Did I Get Married?” like I did, you’ll know that this rule also refers to the notion that in a relationship, one will never get the 100% of the qualities they are looking for in a partner. The most one will obtain is about 80% of what they are looking for in a mate.
The problem doesn’t lie in the 80% you’ve got, it’s the 20% you’re missing. Somewhere along the line you might find a person that possesses the 20% you don’t have. This is when you’ve got to ask yourself, “Is this 20%’er worth exploring?” And no, the 20%’er doesn’t ‘complete’ you, since you’ll lose the 80% you already had. Don’t be dumb.
The more important question is: “What is it that you’re looking for?” Once you’ve figured it out and prioritized your list, you can then see what is least important to you and what you can compromise. So when “the one” comes along, you’ll know who they are.
Or, if you’re like me, you’ll have all 100% and be happy. Yay!
Apples
Don’t fall far from their trees.
I remember when I was in my teens, I swore to myself, “when I grow up” I will never be like my parents. Like my dad’s ability to get loud mid-sentence turning any conversation into a yelling battle. Or my mom’s incessant need to have the last word in any argument. But ever since I’ve been spending more time with my folks, I’ve realized where my specialness comes from. The interesting quirks that make me wholly unique, originated from my makers.
Go figure.
So, next time your parents engage in questionable/annoying behavior, beware, you’re next!

Love Is… (3)
Spoon feeding your lover only the chocolate parts of Neapolitan ice cream (even though that’s your favorite flavor too) just to avoid a frown on her face.

The Batches
We’re all chill and calm, but if you fuck with us, we go from zero to psycho before you know what hit you. - H2
But my version would go a little something like this: “….zero to psycho before you realized you had 2 assholes”
H2’s words of wisdom always puts a smile on D’s face. And whatever makes him happy, makes me happy.
Bucket List
Success is peace of mind which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best you are capable of becoming. - John Wooden (1910 – 2010) - UCLA basketball coach, Hall of Famer, a great inspire-er.
After going on a mini-vacay with the batches, my friend SJK was briefing me on the memorable moments I had missed. One of the topics of conversation that came up was every one’s “Bucket List”.
So… What is a bucket list?
According to Urban Dictionary (the most reliable source after Wikipedia) a bucket list is: A list of things to do before you die. Comes from the term “kicked the bucket”.
SJK continued by asking me the question: What are the top 3 things on your bucket list?
The first thing that came out of my mouth was, “Nothing. I do what I want~!” But in all seriousness, I was stumped. So, I did what any knowledgeable human being would do; I googled ‘bucket list’ and started going through other people’s lists. In doing so, I realized how fortunate I am to have experienced so much. But, it also challenged me to do more and be more. There’s so much more I want to accomplish, see, eat, do and be.
